Hospitalists

Janel Breslin, MSN, FNP-C

Bull Run Family Practice Physicians partner with the Prince William Hospitalists for patient care.

When you are admitted to the hospital your Primary Care Physician transfers your care to the Physicians who are experienced in taking care of patients in the Hospital setting. Our Physicians no longer see patients in the hospital.

Who are the Hospitalists and how do they work with your primary care physician?
Prince William Hospitalists are board certified in Internal Medicine and specialize in the care of our adult inpatients. During your stay, the Hospitalist will coordinate all aspects of your care, including consultations with specialists, scheduling tests, ordering medications, and performing procedures. If you are referred by your physician, he or she contacts the Hospitalist and provides all the necessary information about your condition or illness. If you are admitted through the Emergency Department the Hospitalist will communicate with your physician as needed. Throughout your stay and discharge, your Hospitalist will communicate with your primary care physician as necessary and keep him or her informed of your progress.
