Dear Friends and Family of Bull Run Family Practice,
We were shocked and saddened this week to learn that the nationwide malpractice insurance crisis has hit home at Bull Run. Our malpractice carrier, a well-respected and nationally known insurance provider, announced a nearly threefold increase in obstetrical insurance premiums. The cost to us is prohibitive, and as of January 1, 2004, we will be unable to provide obstetrical care to our patients.
Since 1997 it has been our honor and privilege to be 'part of the family' as we help babies and grandbabies come into the world. There is no more satisfying calling in medicine. We cherish our special relationships with all of our patients, and will, as always, continue to provide care to all ages including newborns.
